I am installing a 33.6 Zoom V34i in a 486 machine running Win 3.1. The
problem is that the modem connects at 9600. I have the modem set to use COM
3. I went to the control panel and checked the setting for port three. It
was set to 9600. The highest option is 19200. Does this setting determine
the connection speed for the modem? If so, is there away to change the
setting so that I get the full 33.6? What else could cause the modem to
connect at 9600 instead of 33.6?
