CALL FOR PAPERS

The Clearinghouse for Out-of-Print African Language Learning Materials and
NALRC Publishing, the National African Language Resource Center
(NALRC),UW-Madison,  call for submissions for consideration. Two types of
materials may be submitted to the NALRC for consideration.
1.  Previously developed materials and  2.  New materials.  For more

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

International Program Associate (Africa). The American Council on Education
(ACE) seeks an individual to assist the Association Liaison Office for
University Cooperation in Development (ALO) in strategies to promote and
support partnerships of higher education institutions in the U.S. and in
developing countries, with emphasis on Africa.  With ACE and other
associations, and in
collaboration with USAID, work on efforts involving colleges and
universities in development cooperation.  Organize and manage seminars on
African development priorities and other topics.  Prepare analytic
materials on higher education partnerships for global development, write
and edit formal reports, respond to letters/inquiries, and communicate with
higher education officials, USAID officials, etc.

Candidates should have a Master's degree, preferably in an international
field.  Extensive knowledge of international development issues and trends,
especially in Africa.  At least 5 years experience in management of
international development programs. French required. For further
