Some BIOSes don't correctly handle drives over 2.1GB; some of these
report only the size by which the drive exceeds that limit, and I
believe that is what you're seeing.
I would characterize operating with a drive not properly supported
by my BIOS as "very risky". See if Asus has a flash BIOS update for
this board....
