Dale,
Select Modems in the control panel and select properties. Click on Maximum
Speed and select either 57600 or 115200. Then click on connection tab, click
Advanced. Under Extra Settings try one of these three generic strings: AT&F or
AT&F1 or ATZ. Then click your way back out. If none of these strings help,
contact US Robotics to see if there is one that will work best for your
particular modem model. The AT&F works for my Internal Voice modem. First,
however, you should try the line test I suggested under another response to your
post.
