I've lost the ability to run an MS-DOS Prompt box windowed in WfWG:
the DOS window opens black and the machine freezes, won't Ctrl-Alt-Del.
I can't File/Run COMMAND /C DIR from Progman or Fileman either: same effect.
However, MS-DOS editor, EDIT.COM works fine.
In native DOS, both copies of COMMAND.COM work fine, as in:
C:>COMMAND /C DIR
C:>\DOS\COMMAND /C DIR
Inspecting the .PIFs shows the main difference is
that EDIT.COM is set to run full-screen:
changing DOSPROMPT.PIF to full-screen works (it doesn't hang),
but I can't Alt-Enter it back to a windowed display.
How can I restore DOS-in-a-window and
the ability to File/Run the command processor?
In case this is relevant, I've recently installed
* the Seagate SEG32BIT.386 32 bit acccess disk driverdriver (working)
* MS Remote Access Server WFWPTP.EXE (seems to be working,
but I haven't sorted the cable out yet).
SYSTEM:
IBM Cobalt-AT 486BL motherboard (VLB); AMD 5x86-133 CPU
Microid Research BIOS; 32MB RAM;
DOS 6.20; Win3.11 (WfWG)
