I have an adaptec 2940 scsi card (bios ver. 1.23)controlling a sony 12X
cdrom, and a quantum fireball (3.2 gig), running on an Abit LX6 mobo.
The problem I'm having is that occasionally I get A "NON SYSTEM DISK"
error when cold booting. I know there is no 3 1/2" diskette in the disk
drive when booting yet I still get this message. The majority of the
time the adaptec bios scans the scsi chain a finds all of the devices,
but on some occasions I've noticed it skips the scan and I eventually
end up with the error message. I would appreciate any help on this as I
've already received a bios upgrade from adaptec and the problem still
persists. Thanx Frank
