Hi Jim,
 I live in central PA near Penn State. There is an organization on the
campus called SCROUNGE which tries to match up surplus hardware with needy
nonprofit organizations that can use it. Check with the various colleges and
universities in your area (the computer science department) to see if there
is a similar group in MA.
