When I'd go really overboard on carbs, the effect for me was like a drug.
On the CAD list it was known as a "carb coma". I'd get incredibly sleepy,
take a nap and wake up with this horrible sluggish drugged feeling. I've
been pain-killers in the past (after dental work, surgery and such) and a
carb coma is way worse. Ugh. It's the most awful feeling.
