I've recently moved to Toronto, and am looking for a primary care physician
who's aware of gluten intolerance/celiac, and who can refer me to a
knowledgeable specialist. I live in the Dundas/Dufferin area, but anywhere
close to downtown would be OK.

Unfortunately, I'm diagnosed gluten intolerant by symptoms only, as I had to
go GF on my own due to delays caused by my previous family doctor's "it's all
in your head" attitude. When I finally saw a GI, I'd been mostly GF for 4
months, and the biopsy was negative after a 2-week gluten challenge, which she
insisted was long enough (it certainly made me feel sufficiently awful).
Ideally, I'd like somebody to re-examine the biopsy results, but mostly I
just want someone who knows what they're doing and doesn't think I'm nuts, so
I don't have to repeat the whole merry-go-round. :)

Please e-mail replies to [log in to unmask] (not to the address above).

thanks
Eleanor
