First of all let me thank all of you who responded to my post regarding
peeling finger tips. It seems as though quite of few on the celiac mailing
list are bothered by peeling finger tips, toes, knuckles, elbows, etc....

Server people who responded feel it was related to accidental ingestion of
gluten.

Some feel it could also be from handling a gluten substance (i.e. paste,
paint, paper mache playdo). This topic is one I need to further
investigate as I feel this could be a link to his peeling fingers.

One person suggested I check out the Sjogren syndrome sites which I have
yet to do.

One person said peeling fingers or toes could be a sign of untreated strep
throat.

Some people feel the effect worsens in winter months and dryer climates.

Some suggest seeing a dermatologist for eczema or some type of fungus.

One person attributed it to too much caffeine, while another to ingesting
too much yeast or sugar.

For treatment, some are using heavy GF creams, wearing gloves to sleep in
and also while handling gluten products.

Thanks for your comments, I'll keep you posted.
