List members,
I am trying to self analyze the results of my celiac tests. My
gastro-enterologist is on vacation and I guess I am too impatient to wait.
I had been on a low-carbohydrate eating regime and feeling fine. To
prepare for the tests, I began to eat carbs and gluten containing foods.
I had eaten gluten/carbs for 9 days prior to the blood test and 12 days
prior to the biopsy. Here are the results.
Blood test result reference
Anti-reticulin antibody 1 : 20 (H) none found
Anti-gliadin antibody IgA 7.3 (H) < 3.0
Anti-gliadin antibody IgG < 7.0 < 7.0
Anti-endomysial antibody none found none found
Biospy: normal
So, I failed the anti-reticulin and anti-gliadin IgA tests and passed
everything else. Does this look inconclusive because of the biopsy and
passed blood tests, or do the failed blood tests indicate gluten
intolerance? I would very much like to hear your opinions.
Thank you,
James Alpigini
