I'm 56 and have been diagnosed CD 14 months ago. I'm the owner of 5
restaurants and 2 other companies. Must be the only ont who bring her lunch
at her restaurants.
I dont fond the diet hard to follow as I cook a lot at home. We eat better
than all the poeple I know. I have found a bread recipe as good as "real"
bread.
What is the most difficult is when I come back from a trip and have always to
plan for food. When we go out, always complicated also.
I have to assist banquets sometimes and dont like the calls and special
arrangements I have to do before.
Before, my husband and I were always at restaurants. He liked it and I was
too tired to cook.
Happily, he has been so afraid for me to die, he adjusted very well. I cook
excellent meals, we redecored our home to apprediate staying at home. THE
KEY TO THIS: dont do 2 cuisines! GF is very healthy for everybody.
When I have guests, they ask for my recipes.
And we save a lot almost not eating out anymore.
All in all, after being so sick, I'm lucky to feel wonderful with only a
diet, no surgery, treatments, etc... The rest is a small price to pay.
And I follow the diet very strictly.
Mireille, Waterloo Quebec.
