Hi...

My roommate is having problems with his cd-rom drive.  When I boot up
to DOS on his pentium 233 computer, his cd-rom drive refuses to close.

I get this problem even when trying to push the door closed as the system
boots up.

What happens is this:  I push the door closed.  Then, the LED light on
the cd-rom unit blinks about three times, then the door opens with the
disc.

I've tried this with--no cdrom, various others--without success.

It's a toshiba 24x drive.

Any ideas, maybe?
