Amusingly enough, I also make an annual pilgrimage to a distant city to
purchase a few favorite kosher items, but most of the ones I really need
are carried by our health food co-op. There are many co-ops out there,
and many of them carry at least some meats that are kosher.

Big question: Are you looking for the kosher label just to determine
dairy ingredients or due to the methods of killing and processing (which
are very complex and rigid)? Quite a few of the health food processors
aren't interested in obtaining kosher certification for their meats
because of the killing methods necessary, but are dairy free. I have
called several of them and asked. :-D
