OK Folks,
After 3 weeks (its about that long since I got sucked into this) of
exhaustive searching and calling CNN, my congressmen and representatives
(as well as the FCC) I have come to the conclusion that the story on the
newly proposed internet access charges are nothing more than an
elaborate hoax (and a pretty realistically looking one at that)
concocted to cause all of us to call up our congressmen and reps and
simply tie the system we have in knots.
Now, some of you might believe the story out of hand without checking
the sources (as I initially did). However, unless you actually check the
story yourself (by going to the source mentioned in the article) you
can't really place any confidence in the information. I have had friends
calling me up on the phone asking about this, and I tell them the same
thing I am telling all of you: Check out the story at the indicated
source (in this case, CNN was named in recent postings as the news
announcing source).
Basically, it comes down to this: The best information is that which is
verifiable.
Pardon my soapbox folks! <grin>
