INTRODUCTION

First of all I want to wish everybody of you a merry chrismas and a happy
new year!
I hope the next year will bring us a lot of new accessible technology and a
lot of new nice accessibility features.
The Screen Magnifiers Homepage at http://www.plex.nl/~pverhoe is up now
more than 2 years trying to bring information together about screen
magnification and accessibility.
Once I hoped that somebody did the same for screen reader software, but it
is a pitty, nobody did.
I hope next year will bring us more structured information on the Internet!

ZOOMTEXT 6.13

AiSquared has released version 6.13 of their screen magnifier plus screen
reader ZoomText Xtra. In this new release a lot of significant problems in
version 6.12 are fixed. Licensed users of ZoomText Xtra 6.1x can upgrade to
version 6.13 for free.

ZOOMTEXT XTRA 7 BETA 2

AiSquared has released a public beta version of ZoomText Xtra 7.
This is the first 32-bit version of ZoomText running on Windows NT 4.0
workstation. ZoomText Xtra 7 beta 2 includes only magnification. Next beta
releases of ZoomText Xtra 7 will run on Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0
workstation and include speech.

LP-WINDOWS 7
------------------------
Users of LP-Windows had to wait a long time before Visionware came with a
new release of this screen magnifier. But LP-Windows 7 is now available.
LP-Windows 7 includes screen magnification plus screen reading (speech) and
is also a 2 level product. You can by it without or with speech. LP-Windows
with speech costs $595 and without $395. Both include LP-DOS for
magnification in MS-DOS.
