Hi,
There will potentially be a meeting to form a computer User's group for
blind and low vision people in Philadelphia on Saturday May 23 from about
10 am to 1 pm. Anyone may attend. This effort is not meant to undermine
or conflict with other efforts that have been in progress in
Philadelphia, but to complement them. There is no meeting place yet, as
we are waiting to reserve a room till we know if this is a day that will
work for a significant number of those who may be interested.
If you are interested in attending or would be interested in attending if
it were on a different date or time, or want information about future
meetings, please contact me via email at: [log in to unmask] or leave a
voice message at: (215) 922-2122.
Please let anyone know who may be interested and is not on this list.
The group will become whatever people who attend want it to become but it
is my personal hope that it will become a group that supports the needs of
both beginning and experienced computer users, as well as a group that
can reach out to participate in addressing the larger issues of
technology access.
When plans are finalized, they will be announced to this list, as well as
to anyone who calls or writes me with their email address or phone number
and lets me know they are not on this list.
Lynn Zelvin.
