I have been hoping to try one out but time has not allowed
it. (I do miss doughnuts).
I have baked bread though and just followed the recipe,
substituting margarine for butter and soya milk for milk.
The bread turns out fine but tends to be a little less soft
and tender. I think maybe adding a little extra sugar to
make up for the lactose and a little extra margarine, to
make up for the milk fat might help.
My Mum used to make doughnuts when I was a kid: they were so
good.
