A cold war Nike missile launch site is slated to be destroyed sometime this
spring.  The site (C-47) is located near Portage, Indiana and is in decent
shape considering it hasn't been used for more than 25 years.  Seven building
remain, as well as the missile elevators and silos.

A group has been formed to try to save the site as a historic monument to the
