Karl et al,

A word of caution: Don't assume that the rate at which you lost weight at
first will continue. I was the golden boy of the lowcarb list when I first
started. I lost 11lbs the first week, 8lbs the next, 25 total in the first
month (January), and 40 total by April. And since then I've lost...
nothing. Seven months. Not one damn pound. I've tried everything; eating
more, eating less, eating nothing but meat and eggs, eating lots of
veggies, exercise. Nothing works. I'm still 30lbs overweight and going
nowhere fast. Believe me, the worst part of it was, I had everything
already planned out. I was going to be looking damn good by now, buying
normal size clothes (especially jeans with a crotch somewhere near mine).
No dice. Instead, I'm still fat. And very, very frustrated. And the
worst part? People are still complimenting me every day, telling me how
great I'm doing! Al I can think is "yeah, right". And no, I'm not
"re-arranging". My suit jackets are getting no looser.

Actually, I haven't lost a pound since switching to Neanderthin in late
April. I had already stopped losing by that point, but it hasn't helped
either.

       ...But going from
54 to 44 in half a year sounds good. If I can get down to 38 by next May,
