Hi everyone! I received so many requests for the recipes that I have
now tried. (Mercy!! I didn't know there were that many of us on the
list!) Just wanted to let you all know that I WILL post the bread
recipes that have been successful for me so far and will post all the
ones I try in the future that are successful for me, too. At the
moment, I am in the middle of running back and forth to the hospital for
the tests on my 3-yr-old son, so please be patient with me--I can't
think of much else these days. So far, the doctors are confused, they
looked for celiac especially and anything else--GI x-rays showed a 5
inch long stricture (narrowing) of the intestine and an infection with
inflammation and nodules in the illeum of the intestine (which are
specific signs of Crohn's disease) and the SED rate (whatever that
means) was above 90 (which the doc said should be 20 or less) in his
blood, which is also a marker for Crohn's disease. But the biopsies
taken don't agree with a Crohn's diagnosis. So, the doc really wants to
do the tests again, but I told him I preferred not to do it all again!!
So, we are doing the blood tests again (the endomysial test results for
CD have not come back yet) and the stool tests again (looking for the
possibility of parasites). I don't think they would ever find the
parasites as this hospital lab is not doing the test the best way. When
they looked for CD, they said they found now signs of damaged or
flattened villi. So, that's how it stands now. Would love to hear from
any of you out there that might have had the same experiences in your
diagnosis of CD or if any of you know anything about Crohn's.(Maybe Ron
Hoggan or Dr. Murray could offer insight.) But, as to the poster that
said they would "walk" if things became too difficult for their child
during all the testing, I would just like to encourage them to try their
best to stick with it in order to get clarification as best as we can
these days and not to treat symptoms, hoping to get it right, but find
the cause and then go after it.

Will post soon!
Working together,
Renee' in So. Florida
