Dear Listmembers,

I need your help convincing dear friends (since our children were in pre-
school together) to have their 17 yr old daughter (very petite) to be tested
for celiac. Last fall, during her senior year in high school, a deep
depression overwhelmed her to the point of hospitalization. No apparent
reason can be found so doctors are saying it must have been at birth as a
twin. When I first started to mention the gluten connection it fell on deaf
ears...although my friend is open to suggestions and has been trying
alternative doctors (naturally not a one suggested celiac testing) I think
perhaps she is ready to listen since her daughter started to spiral downwards
again.

Positive stories I know will help. For those of you that have had positive
turn- arounds with depression once you followed a gluten free diet, please
send your stories....I know they will help. Thank you so much.
