Hello,
I'm french and i'm going to experiment this card in France in 2 weeks.
When i was diagnosed with celiac 6 months ago, i was here in CA, so i do not
know how poeople re going to react to this.
I think the card for the restaurant is pretty good. Of course, if she would
speak French it would be better for her to be understood.
But she can find some Natural food store in paris where they sell some
gluten free bread, cookies....
Here are some sentences she can use in such places:
"Bonjour, avez vous du pain sans gluten ? Des gateaux sans gluten ?"
= Hello, do you have some gluten free bread, some gluten free cookies?
"Bonjour, je cherche un magasin dietetique . En connaissez- vous en un ?"
= Hi, i'm looking for a natural food store. Do you know one ?
I have an address for the French association of celiacs : 4, rue de Buenos
Aires 75007 Paris
I don't have their phone numbers.
What she really should do first, it's to try to learn some french. Few
people speak english , most particurlarly , in the stores. If she wants to
feel better that's what she should do and also bring some gluten free food
with her.
I hope i helped. If you want me to translate, send an e-mail and i'll do it.
Good luck,
Caroline, French in California.
