Hi everyone, From what everyone wrote the best bet is the fresh parmesan
cheese if you want g/f. Most wrote the reason for the pregrated NOT being
g/f is the starch or fillers added to prevent caking of the cheese. Two
kinds if you do wish to try pre grated that you may wish to investage are
Kroger Store Brand and Frigo Brand Parmesan. Two fresh brands that were
recommended were Reggianno (if you can afford it), and Costco brand (it is a
far cheaper brand and it melts really neat). Someone wrote from Italy and
said Italian law forbids any adding of flours or amid of any kind in bulk
cheese. Thank you all for your info, Tom from NJ, USA
