I'm sorry to ask this, but when I did a general inquiry about DH, most
people said it was a *simple procedure*. My friend at work went to  the
gastroenterologist, who referred her to a dermatologist. The
dermatologist took 3 biopsies that were deep enough gouges to require
stitches in each section. She now has 9 stitches, as a result of this
biopsy.

NOBODY mentioned stitches in posts & I'm wondering if this doc did the
right thing?

Please let me know if your experience in DH diagnosis involved stitches.
