The Kitchener-Waterloo chapter of the Canadian Celiac Association is
hosting the 25th National Conference, May 29-31, 1998. This is an
invitation for anyone in the celiac community to attend the conference.
(Kitchener is 60 miles west of Toronto, approximately 2 hours drive
from Buffalo.)

Full Session Speakers:
A. Dr. George F. Davidson, M.D., FRCP (C) - Welcome address and
overview of blood screening in Canada.
(Dr. Davidson is the Chair of the Professional Advisory Board
of the Canadian Celiac Association, and the Head of the Division
of Biochemical Diseases, Department of Pediatrics, University
of British Columbia)
B. Dr. Peter Ernst, Ph.D. - 25 Years and Still Learning
Dr. Ernst is a Senior Scientist at the Sealy Center for
Molecular Sciences and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics,
University of Texas Medical Branch. He is the son of the
founder of the Canadian Celiac Association, Kay Ernst.
C. Dr. James Gregor, M.D. FRCP (C) - Blood Screening and Celiac Disease
Dr. Gregor is a gastroenterologist with GI Associates, London
Ontario.

A. Bette Hagman - Living Well Without Gluten - Eating, Cooking, and
Mental Coping
Bette Hagman is a well known author of gluten-free cookbooks.
B. Marion Zakardas, B.Sc., M.Sc., P.Dt. - Labeling of Food Products
Marion Zakardas is a member of national advisory board and an
advisor for food labeling standards for Health Canada.
C. Mavis Malloy, RDN. - Looking Back over 25 Years of Nutrition - CD
and DH
Mavis Malloy is a member of national advisory board, and a
nutritionist in Vancouver, British Columbia

C. Exhibitors There will be ample time to visit with more than 30
vendors of gluten-free products. The vendors will be selling
gluten-free goods. You may want to bring an extra suitcase.
Registration: Early Registration deadline is April 15, 1998. Full
program and Saturday only prices conference registrations are available.

and hotel costs. Child care for children over 3 will be provided. All
food at the reception, meals, and breaks will be gluten free.
