Ketosis is not a synonym for fat burning or fat loss. It refers
to the *incomplete* burning of fat, with the consequent
generation of ketones. When fat is burned completely, as it is
in all but very low-carb diets, no ketones are produced.
Furthermore, being in ketosis does not automatically mean that
you are losing body fat, because the fat being incompletely
burned might be dietary and not stored fat. In fact, it is
possible to *gain* body fat while in ketosis, although it would
probably take a bit of work.
