Hello there!

My name is Chaim Segal (C H A I M) and I am making my debut to the list.
I live in Chicago, and have landed on this list thanks in part to Kelly
Pierce.A little bit about my background: I graduated high school in
Dayton, Ohio where I grew up back in 1988. Since which time, I received
some training in audio engineering, and have gone to school part-time from
the fall of 1989 through the spring of 1995. That summer, I took a job
with a local Pizza Hut hoping to launch to higher heights from there.
This is one of a number of reasons for my move up here to Chicago.

I use Jaws for Dos, and am learning JFW. I have Openbook, as well as
Duxbury. I greatly enjoy E-mail correspondence as well.

In looking for a job, I've come upon a listing from the CHICAGO READER
which I would ike to follow through on. One of the duties of this job is
being able to operate a cash register. Way back in the mid 80s, I
observed a talking cash re\gister being used at the Ohio State School For
The Blind by a student running the school's canteen. Since which time, I
have heard that they are no longer being produced. Somebody please
correct me if this is not the case.

I am wondering if there is anybody out there anywhere who is into vending
and or for whatever the reason uses a general-purpose cash register that
sighted people use. If so, how is it feasable? Do you use it in
conjunction with a talking money identifier?

I would appreciate some feedback on this ASAP! I am in desperate need of
finding work, and I'm sure I would do well at this job.

Thank you very much!

Chaim B. Segal
