"Free run" means that are allowed to run around inside a barn, but not
outside. Most commercial "eggs" are from chickens that are confined to
pens. "Free range" means they can run around outside.

The natural diet of chickens includes worms that they pull from the ground.
Eggs from such hens would be a darker yellow then ones that are grain fed.

"Organic" eggs would not include bugs and grubs. If they are "free range"
then the range must have a concrete base. The feed, of course, would be
organic grains.
