Somebody posted recently that rice did not cause problems for him. I found
this on the celiac home page that Don Wiss posted the URL to earlier. I
wonder if there could be any relation? Is it possible that the gluten in
certain grains comtribute to their weight-gain-causing characteristics? I
have noidea, I'm just wondering "out loud".

"Rice, maize, sorghum, millet do not contain gluten: no leavened bread was
prepared with them: the majority of mankind never lived on bread, as we do
know it."
