I think before misinformation starts to be disseminated, you need to cite your
sources for why you are stating this as fact.  Calcium carbonate is a good
source of calcium; it isn't as easily absorbed as say, calcium citrate, but it
is still okay.  Tums can cause constipation so for that reason it may not be
good for everyone.

My son's gastroenterologist recommends Tums for calcium supplementation.  I do
believe if there were digestive impairment from use of Tums that certainly a
gastroenterologist wouldn't recommend them for long term use.
