Hi Kelly,
My daughter weighed 20 pounds at one year and has been alergic to milk
proteins since birth. She was 3 weeks early and low birth weight. She was
5 pounds when we brought her home. The doc all said she is just small. She
is 3 now and weighs 29 pounds. Some say she is low weight gain and some say
she is ok. I'm not sure what the correct weight is for yours is. Weight
gain can be a problem if a child is not getting the proper protein that milk
usually gives(at least this is what i'm told, substitute protein from other
sources)
I hope this helps answer your question alittle
