1. Carefully analyze the current conditions and base any proposal on those
conditions.
2. Do research to determine past history.
3. Insure any proposal is appropriate with age.
4. Protect and retain significant features and fabric.
5. Make no irreversible changes.
6. Restore previously damaged areas.
