Hello and thanks for the feedback, Askia.

I agree that it was 'A step in the right direction'. And folks,
I honestly cannot say it any better. Thanks so much for your
interest and courage to do just that. However, how we complete
this 'step' would make it be 'in the right direction'. Thanks for all
your contribution at this point. There is no doubt in my mind that
we will continue to put our hearts into the remainder of the process
to provide a worthwhile process improvement mechanism to
AFRICA FEST.

Let's continue moving in the 'right direction'. Askia, I appreciate you
taking on getting the minutes out to us. Meanwhile, considering that
I need to get the consolidated refined version of the 15 Point
Recommendations that we came up with tonight to members by the
end of this week, could you please send me those as early as possible.
By Tuesday, September 28, 1999 will be really fine. If not along with the
rest of the minutes, please let us know when those minutes will be ready.
Again, thanks so much in advance for your help in doing this.

UNRELATED: Please be informed that with Koso Weller's consent
or permission, I am formally letting you know that her husband,
Dr. Ben Weller underwent a successful heart by-pass on Friday, 9/24/99
at the UW-Madison Hospital. He is in Room D4 526 and the phone
number there is 267-8269. The phone number for the Nursing Station near
by is 263-8720. Daily visitation is 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Please remember
him in your prayers for a speedy and successful recovery. Dr. Weller is a
member of the AFRICA FEST '99 Monitoring & Evaluation Subcommittee.

Once more, thanks for your continued interest, desire and contribution in/to
the success of AFRICA FEST, the African Association of Madison, Inc. and
the African community in Madison.

Cheers and blessings!

Richard Yarl
