African2000 is the communications vehicle for the 21st Century African Youth
Movement.  It was launched on August 4, 1999. It currently enlists one
hundred and fourty-one subscribers.

consisting of a diverse representation across the globe, this group is
helping guide the direction of the movement by working primarily on the
implementation of the Movement’s First Continental Youth Assembly in Sierra
Leone, West Africa (May 21 – 26, 2001).

African2000 is also serving to create a permanent foundation, financial
support and recognition for the diverse views, ideas and solutions of young
people in Africa and its Diaspora.

Subscription to the online discussion group is open.  Postings are moderated
to reflect the purpose of the group.  Posting from non-members may be
distributed to the group if they address the objectives of African2000.  To
