Greetings All,
Please accept our sincere apology for being so late in conveying this
message to you.  The Africa United Football Club participated in the
inaugural event of the State Games of America on the weekend of the 6th this
month at St. Louis, Missouri.  This event is an Olympics-type competition
that will be held every two years for the state champions in all sports.  We
were able to win the bronze medal during this competetion despite the fact
that not all our players were able to attend.  Although we did not loose any
game, we were forced to play the bronze medal game because a team from our
group which shared the same points with us led the group with only one goal
difference.  It really came down to that - goal differentials.  So we were
happy with the outcome and became part of history by taking the third place
in the first State Games of America soccer competition.
