An interesting aside. Some instinctos claim there is a mechanical
satiation
to drinking which happens much sooner than the taste satiation. The
trick
is that water must be lapped up with the head in a horizontal position
like
most other mammals, as from standing water like bobbing for apples ;)
Anyway, they claim that if one only drinks that way when thirsty that
they
get as satisfied from much less water.
Seems more than a bit "retro" to me since we can easily cup our hands
and
drink vertically. Heck, we could even hollow out that sharp stick and
suck
it up if we wanted ;)
