I do "carb up" before strength training. As for aerobics, I may
not be "serious" because I don't really care about my
performance. I do it as part of a general fitness program, not
because I care how fast I can run. As a low-level jogger, then,
it would be hard for my performance to drop, unless *I* dropped!
I find that a revealing way to tell when my muscle glycogen
stores are really depleted is to climb a few flights of stairs,
two stairs at a time. After a few days of ketosis, my legs tend
to feel like lead when I do this. Whether this will pass after
an adaptation period, I can't say.
