-BULLAMANKA-PINHEADS-
Thank you to Ken, John Stahl, and John Leeke;
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jenks Parker and I am a contractor
in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As Ken mentioned several days ago, I am in the
process of redirecting my company's resources and energies towards historic
preservation work. Although a neophyte and novice to this field as a
professional, I am at home with it. I am one from a long line of
constructors and preservers of the built world.
My decision to focus on preservation work came from a fleeting thought this
past summer when I realized there was more to life than trying to find a
drywall finisher who would show up for work or that after meeting with
clients and subcontrators, my deepest conversations of the day were with my
four year old. I love building but I truly love the craft of building and
I see preservation as a both an avenue to craft building and a looking
glass to the way it was done before the age of drywall and its finisher.
So, hello to all.
-Jenks-
