Hello All,
I'm sure that many of you thought I had forgotten to tell you about the
little girl who was denied a referral to a gastroenterologist because the
pediatirician did not believe she had celiac disease.
She finally has an appointment with a gastro for mid-June. I'm not thrilled
with the long delay. I am afraid that the long date may reflect something
of an "attitude," but I hope I am wrong.
Anyway, Dr. Fasano at U. Maryland has kindly agreed to test this little
girl's blood for antibodies. I just recieved the shipping instructions
today. I feel confident that if she demonstrates positive antibodies, she
will be able to get an earlier appointment.
I want to thank everyone for their interest and patience. I won't report
again until there is either a definitive diagnosis or the alternative, as I
don't want to post excessively to the list.
best wishes,
Ron Hoggan
