I received the following comments regarding my inquiry: "Can anyone tell me
if wintergreen flavored Altoids are GF?"

1. Wheat starch is used in the processing of Altoids, to ensure that the
product does not stick to the conveyor belts that transports (i.e. - not
GF)

2. Altoids are OK

3. "The head of the quality control department (at Altoids) has confirmed
that it is corn starch from maize that is used in the processing of Altoids."

4. Telephone number at Altoids is (1-914-345-3311).

The information is contradictory in that one states wheat starch is used
"as a processing aid on the conveyer belts, and another states the starch
is corn, not wheat. I have used the 'regular flavor' Altoids with no noted
ill effects. - Nancy
