Hi All; Taking food out of your country is not a violation, nor restricted.
You need to check with the consulate or embassy staff or their Agriculture
Representitive. When entering the United States ALL food products is
controlled by the US. Dept. of Agriculture. Not US Customs. At Customs we
enforce the regulations of 26 other agencies besides ours. Usually fresh foods
are restricted for fear of disease if not cured right. I have found if it is
processed or cooked they allow it in. You'll probably find the same
restrictions elsewhere.
Happy Trails
Charlie
