This may be true, but many of the managers of these places are very poorly
trained and are clueless as to what is actually -in- the food they are
serving. Many of us are very tired of asking for ingredients and getting
someone who could really care less and doesn't want to bother providing
accurate data.

I worked at a fast food place for several years and I knew the labeling much
better than the managers most of the time. Some of them were shocked when I
told them what was in the stuff we were serving. Amazing.

Joe, please don't take offense here, but its the FDA I'm mad at. Why, oh why
can a product be legally labeled non-dairy when it contains up to 3% casein?
Why when it is processed on dairy equipment? There are so many parents out
here trying to do what is best for our kids, we can't tell ourselves if
something has dairy in it necessarily (but I'm getting better!), so we
accidently expose them needlessly.
