Hey, Jill--

Welcome to the club.

Our son had a blood test for allergies at just over 2 years old. I felt
lucky; some doctors won't touch 'em til they're 3 or 4. It was traumatic,
as they had to draw quite a bit of blood, but at least we got some
answers...the scratch test was deemed inappropriate due to need to hold
still for a while. However, there doesn't appear to be much consistency in
what is done to whom, or when.

Depending on your allergist, it might be handy to bring with you a record
of everything Mikala eats between now and the appt, the time she eats it
and the time of any possible reactions (ie, 6:15am, wakes up congested;
10am: diarrhea; 3:50pm: cries inconsolably for 30 minutes).

Good luck!
Jeanne
