As in other cultures, the Alaska Natives are becoming more
westernized all the time, in activitiy, in food, etc.  Someone who
lives a strictly HG lifestyle now is pretty rare.  Not that whaling
isn't still a major activity for many, but it is no longer a
food-or-death issue for most of them.
