The most common example that comes to mind is that of cattle consuming apples
that have fallen to the ground and remained in place long enough for
fermentation to have produced a significant amount of alcohol within each
apple. The cows will eat these apples until they are quite obviously drunk!
This happens with plenty of other food around.
