Cured bacon contains sodium nitrite.  This is a chemical, and I think it's
been proven to cause cancer.  Sorry.

Check out your local organic foods store.  Be careful though, uncured bacon
doesn't necessarily NOT have added sugar in it.  Apparently, the label
"organic" only means certain unnecessary additives are restricted.
