Dear friends,

Well, you have heard Anne's pronouncement on the Wellspring pies and
biscuits.

The news from Carly is that 10 people called her, and ordered a total of 25
pies and 7 dozen biscuits, which is about what she could handle for this
first run. I am eager to receive feedback (privately) from the rest of the
10 about which items they liked, didn't like, would like to see added, etc.

There was one note from someone asking where he might find a local store to
do the same; the best I could offer him was the Wholefoods number and email
address, although I have since learned that there may be a list of all their
stores on a website.

Another listmember wrote me that his local Wholefoods store in California was
making GF goodies from Authentic mixes. While our local store has a policy
against using any mixes, Carly may explore this further because of
Authentic's attention to protein through the use of bean flours and soy.

I'll continue to report further developments.

Connie
