Hi All,

I was wandering through the local oriental market today and I came
across cookies which taste exactly like animal crackers and would
probably work great as teething biscuits for a child. The cookies are
about 1 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches in size.

I found them at the oriental market on Main Street in Worcester, MA.
They are in a clear round container with a screw on top. The
ingredients listed are egg, coconut, tapioca, starch, sugar, water.

I have a severe wheat allergy but am not celiac. I have always gotten a
reaction to wheat products within two hours of consumption and it has
now been five hours and I have no signs of illness. I probably have
eaten about ten of them throughout this afternoon. Other than the fact
that I have now had Way-Tooo-Much sugar for my liking, I feel fine.

The label reads "BANH GAI" in big letters across the top and has a
peacock looking logo on the front. They are marketed as "Egg Cookies /
Vietnamien Biscuits". The only manufacturer information is "packed for
Cartiman Int'l co. Hong Kong"

Again, I only have a wheat allergy so they may not be good for everyone
but the ingredients seem simple enough.

Thanks
PeggySue
