I would say 95% of waiters don't know the first thing about how something is
made, and about 50% don't care. I have had to send for the managers of some
places, but then once I find something is safe, I can return to the same
place and have it again. The hardest time is where you're at, at the very
beginning. It gets so much easier as time goes by (Sing it Sam!) Hang in
there, and persevere! It's worth it.
